As a reminder, we update this site regularly! If you want to know if the dojo is closed on Labor Day (it is), or if you are curious about that new Introductory Class, the website is your place to go. Here are some things going on for the next few weeks:
We will have a celebration for Master Koyama on Friday, August 31st. The President of the JKA/WF America will be presenting the gift that Master Ueki gave to him, and we will have dinner (real food, catered by our very own Russ Tanita). The event will begin shortly after the Adult Class concludes.
The dojo will be closed for Labor Day.
We have started a new introductory class, which will meet the first Tuesday of every month, from 6:30-7:30pm. If you or someone you know is interested in seeing what our dojo and training are all about, come by. There is a $20 fee, which will be applied to your monthly dues if you sign up. As always, we are a contract-less dojo.
We will be holding a kyu exam on Friday, September 7th, at 7:30pm. Please ask your instructor if you are ready and eligible to test.
Finally, you may have noticed our freshly-painted sign and window, and you may have experienced the A/C on the dojo floor. In the coming weeks, look for A/C installation in the back area and some fresh paint! We thank you for your donations; they are making a difference.
